Corporate Partnership
Rewarding relationships with the academy
Many corporations have already built important and rewarding relationships with Massachusetts Maritime Academy. By supporting the Academy’s highest priority needs, your company will help allow MMA to produce top quality, expertly trained graduates. Corporations also benefit from the gifts they make through positive public relations, which generate goodwill among customers and employees while advertising and promoting their corporate brand. Additionally, our corporate partners have access to Academy administration and faculty which can be invaluable, especially when dealing with ever changing work environments and the shaping of needed skill sets in future employees.
Philanthropy
Corporate Partnerships are a cornerstone of much of what we teach at the Academy. Our cadets participate in internships and co-ops and upon graduation join companies to continue to contribute. You can show your support of MMA and our cadets by:
- Naming a classroom or laboratory space
- Setting up an endowed scholarship fund in your organization’s name supporting the major(s) that can help grow your company.
- Fund cooperative and experiential education for our cadets.
- Donate software, engines, and other tools or help fund new technologies at MMA to help educate the leaders of the industries we serve.
- Support the training ship
We are proud of our relationship with corporations and businesses of all sizes and we are happy to help find new opportunities to engage you, our corporate partners. If you are interested in learning more contact advancement@thebigkahunaspokane.com or 508-830-5099
Cooperative Education Opportunity
A partnership between the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA), employer, and student. MMA prepares students for the working world; students apply what they learn in the classroom and labs in the workplace; employers have access to a wealth of talent who are eager and motivated to work in a variety of different ways. Students return from their experience with knowledge and experience that can be shared in the classroom.
Career Fair
Each October and April, the Academy hosts a Career Fair on campus. With an average of 125 employers, it is an excellent opportunity for businesses to showcase their companies and inform our students about future opportunities.
